QUALIFICATIONS:          

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree, Master's Preferred
• Massachusetts licensure preferred, but will work with qualified applicant to gain lcensure.       

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

JOB GOAL: Responsible for the instruction of Spanish classes in a high school setting for grades 8 through 12.  

PERFORMANCE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Instruct students in multiple levels of Spanish. 
2. Work as a team member within the World Language Department
3. Create interactive and innovative lesson plans and modify accordingly throughout the school year
4. Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
5. Utilize a variety of curriculum resources to diversify instruction and lessons
6. Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans
7. Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational and cultural backgrounds of the students served
8. Observe and evaluate student's performance and maintain electronic gradebook
9. Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking positive disciplinary procedures

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  School Year

SALARY AND BENEFITS:  Per Teacher Contract

EVALUATION:  Building Principal
